Pharmacists administering the vaccines have established appropriate screening protocols and procedures and have undergone additional training to administer vaccines. Additionally, all vaccines administered by pharmacists in the Unity Flu Network are logged with the Wisconsin Immunization Registry so other health care professionals providing care will know that the vaccine has been given.
The Unity Flu Vaccine Network consists of over 300 community pharmacies in Wisconsin that are contracted to provide flu vaccine services to Unity members. Just visit unityhealth.com and click Members and then Find a Pharmacy under Quick Links to search for pharmacies near you that are in Unity’s Flu Vaccine Network. Select eligible to provide flu vaccinations as part of your search. These include all Wisconsin locations of UWHealth Pharmacies (beginning September 19), Hometown pharmacies, Shopko Pharmacies and Walgreens Pharmacies as well as many independent pharmacies.
