Fitness First For Kids Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How do I enroll my child in Fitness First for Kids?
    Parents simply need to complete the enrollment form online. Your child’s Fitness First enrollment will be effective the first day of the month following receipt of the enrollment.

  2. Do I need to re-enroll my child each year in Fitness First for Kids? 
    No, you only need to enroll your child once in the Fitness First for Kids program.

  3. Who is eligible for the prize rewards?
    Children between the ages of 5 and 18 who are insured dependents of a Unity subscriber are eligible to earn a prize reward.

  4. I have two children. Are they both eligible to earn prize rewards?
    Yes. Unity does not have a limit on the number of children per family eligible to participate in the program as long as each child is between 5 and 18 years of age and an insured dependent of a Unity subscriber.

  5. How long does an exercise period need to be to qualify for Fitness First for Kids?
    Your child should have 30 minutes of activity per day; however, they can be active in smaller time frames to reach this goal.

  6. What types of activities qualify to earn the prize reward?
    Qualifying activities include bicycling, running, swimming, walking, soccer and even activities that are part of your child’s physical education class at school.

  7. Does my child need to progress through each level of fitness prize?
    No. Your child simply needs to be active the number of dates necessary to earn the prize reward of their choice and indicate the prize on the tracking form when you send it to Unity. The tracking form must be submitted within 12 months of the earliest recorded date, but no later than 30 days after the last recorded date.

  8. Is there a limit on the number of prizes my child can receive in a year?
    Your child is eligible to receive three prizes per calendar year.
