How to Participate

To particpate in the Half Tab Program, you can follow the steps below:

Obtain Tablet Splitter from Unity
You can call Unity Customer Service at 800-362-3310 to have a free tablet splitter and instructions for use shipped to your home (allow 7-10 days)

Work with your Pharmacist

After you have received your tablet splitter, ask your pharmacist to dispense the prescription using the higher strength tablet size, with instructions to take 1/2 tablet, to deliver the same dose you are currently taking
When the pharmacy submits the claim for the prescription to Unity, they will be told to collect half the normal copay

Please note: it is important that you have received your tablet splitter before having your prescription filled with the higher strength

Directions for Use of Tablet Splitter
Caution: tablet splitters contain a sharp razor blade. Avoid direct contact with the blade.

Place pill to be split in the "V" shaped holder.
Close cover to split pill.
Open cover to remove pill halves.
Close cover and store in closed position.
Keep out of reach of children. Consider using the "locking bar" or child safety lock while not in use.

To Clean the Tablet Splitter
Wash in warm, soapy water. Do not come into direct contact with razor blade. Rinse with hot water and allow to air dry.
